The app is still being tested. Sign-in, optional backup and calendar access are separate choices; this notice does not grant consent for any of them.
1. Who is responsible
Effortide is independently developed and operated by Sam Agnew, trading as Effortide, in the United Kingdom. The support and privacy contact is support@effortide.com.
2. Sign-in is not permission to upload training
Google sign-in uses Supabase to verify your identity and maintain your account. This processes an account identifier, email address, provider identity, basic profile information Google returns and session credentials. Effortide does not receive your Google password. Session credentials use the iPhone’s device-only Keychain.
Sign-in requests basic identity, email and profile access, not Gmail, Drive, Google Fit or Google Calendar access. This information is used for authentication and protecting your backup, not advertising.
Signing in does not itself upload your plan. Manual backup is a separate choice. Automatic backup is another opt-in for that account and device and runs while the app is active; it is not continuous background delivery or live multi-device merging.
3. Information on your phone
The app stores the profile, race goals, training preferences, available time, plans, workout records, check-ins and reflections you enter. Depending on your choices, this can include name, birth date, body measurements, work schedules and wellbeing information such as pain or illness.
With your permission, the read-only Apple Health integration can read supported workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, body mass and cycling power. Imported Apple Health data is excluded from Effortide cloud backup. Operating-system/device backups are separate and controlled by your Apple settings.
4. What optional backup includes
Backup can include your name and selected preferences, races and locations, plans, workout status and notes, daily wellbeing answers and weekly reflections. Manually entered fatigue, soreness, pain, illness symptoms and wellbeing notes can be included. They are not imported Apple Health records.
Manually logged completed activities need an additional inclusion choice. Turning that choice off does not exclude wellbeing check-ins or reflections from the plan backup.
Backup excludes imported Health/Garmin activities and provider identifiers, heart-rate and HRV readings, power and sleep readings, body measurements, birth date, calendar identifiers and personal busy times, private daily/work schedules, selected available weekdays and the main long-session weekday. Derived coaching summaries that may contain imported Health data are excluded.
Disabling automatic backup stops future automatic uploads, not a copy already stored. Existing cloud information is removed through cloud-account deletion or an appropriate data request.
5. Calendar permissions
Optional iOS Calendar access is separate from sign-in. Busy checks use event times, all-day status and calendar labels locally. Personal-event titles, notes and attendees are not copied into the training backup.
Workout export writes session titles, times, discipline, status and guidance to the calendar you choose. That account may sync events to Google, iCloud or another provider under its own settings. Exported workout information can therefore leave your phone.
Google calendars currently connect through accounts enabled in iOS Calendar settings, not direct Google Calendar OAuth. Updates may be delayed. Disconnecting stops further updates but leaves existing exported events.
6. Purposes, providers and safeguards
Information is used to provide the account and training features you request, process optional integrations/backup, respond to support requests and protect the service. The intended UK lawful bases are provision of the requested service, consent for optional processing where applicable, and legitimate interests in proportionate security and support.
Health-related information requires an additional special-category condition. Suitable explicit consent for optional cloud processing of health-related check-ins remains a public-release requirement. Signing in or reading this notice is not that consent.
Supabase supplies authentication and optional cloud storage. Cloudflare and the Sites hosting platform serve this website. Support forwarding uses Cloudflare Email Routing and Gmail. Apple and Google also process information under their own service policies.
Providers may process data outside the UK using applicable transfer arrangements. A UK database region does not mean every operation happens only in the UK. See Supabase’s processing terms, Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
Effortide does not sell training data or use Google account data for personalised advertising. Current planning/coaching uses local rules, not an external AI service. This website adds no advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting and authentication infrastructure can process IP addresses, request details and operational logs for delivery and security.
7. Retention and deletion
Local training remains until you reset or remove it. An active cloud backup remains until replaced or the cloud account is deleted. Confirmed cloud deletion removes the active backup/account and revokes app sessions; it does not erase local training.
Deletion does not remove Apple Health records, exported calendar events, your Google/Apple account or provider consent grant. Provider logs and disaster-recovery copies follow their own retention settings; immediate erasure from every copy is not promised.
Support correspondence is kept while needed for the enquiry, related follow-up or legal obligations. Avoid sending medical histories, passwords, sign-in codes or access tokens.
8. Your choices and rights
You can disable backup/export, change Health/Calendar permissions in iOS, delete the cloud account or separately reset local data. Withdrawing consent affects future processing, not earlier lawful processing.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to relevant processing or withdraw consent. Contact support with your account email and request. We may verify account ownership without asking for your password.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. This early-access service is intended for adult testers. Important changes will be reflected here and, where necessary, in the app before new processing starts.
